During my five years at BAGGU, I produced a whole variety of one-off designs — some were for short-run marketing campaigns, some were odds and ends to help particular departments, some were just fun internal ephemera. These are some of the highlights.
Right: Door graphics for BAGGU’s San Francisco office
Above, Left: Japan-specific “Thank You” bag
Above, Left: Branding and t-shirt design for one of our annual Earth Month campaigns
Right: Poster for one of our annual Earth Month campaigns
Left, Below: Employee sweatshirt and invitation to BAGGU’s annual Lunar New Year party. Designed in collaboration with Jessy Agle, with Chinese-English translation courtesy of Lin Wang.
Below: One of a series of graphics promoting BAGGU’s custom-product services. These were printed on samples and distributed to buyers from promising custom accounts.
Right, Below: I always found this a little shocking, but a lot of interested parties would reach out to BAGGU, wanting to produce custom bags… but without any idea of what they wanted to print on them 🤷♂️
To remedy this situation and capture the sales, fellow designer Jessy Agle and I developed a system of artwork templates that could be easily customized for an interested buyer, all based on recognizable “Thank You” graphics found on single-use plastic bags.
Left, Below: Pattern layout and logo for “ZOOBAGGU” — a collaboration with the late, great illustrator Jason Polan
Above, Right: A series of animations explaining how to care for your reusable bags
Left, Below: Wheatpaste campaign to promote BAGGU's Spring 2018 collection, designed in collaboration with Jessy Agle
Surrounding: Marketing assets promoting different editions of our annual “BAGGU & Friends Sample Sale”. Forgive me for the shameless split-fountain Colby Poster rip 😅.
